Peakhill Rare Breeds began from humble beginnings on a rented croft about 15 years ago, and has now developed into a very busy smallholding housing:

• Pygmy Goats

• Dexter Cattle

• Sheep breeds: Greyface Dartmoor, Ryeland, Portland

• Miniature Mediterranean Donkeys

• Rare Pheasant breeds

• Peafowl

• Geese breeds: African Dewlap, Brecon Buff and Chinese

• Various poultry breeds, including Pekin and Ancona bantams and Old English Game.

All of our animals are pedigree and fully registered with their breed societies, and we aim to produce quality stock to breed standard. Please visit the specific pages for more information on your breed of interest. 

Although still very much an absorbing hobby, we occasionally have stock for sale- visit our 'for sale' page for availability.

As our name suggests, we are based in a very beautiful part of the Country within what we consider the most beautiful hills of the Peak District National Park. We, and our animals, live at around 1,300 feet, so we are all very hardy!
